Search and index rebuild speed improvements of up to 99%!
2015-15-07 – Redstone Content Solutions, a Platinum-level member of Oracle® PartnerNetwork (OPN), today announced it has achieved Oracle Validated Integration of Distributed Index 1.4.2 with Oracle WebCenter Content 188.8.131.52.
Redstone’s Distributed Index integration provides game changing WebCenter Content benefits for both end-users and system administrators. WebCenter search time is reduced for end-users from minutes or seconds to sub-seconds. Content Server index rebuild time is reduced for system administrators from months or weeks to days or hours. Distributed Index integration with WebCenter Content is intuitive for end-users, allowing businesses to implement the solution without employee retraining. By leveraging Distributed Index, dramatic improvements are realized, resulting in a measurable return on investment across the entire organization.
To achieve Oracle Validated Integration, Oracle partners are required to meet a stringent set of requirements that are based on the needs and priorities of customers. Redstone’s market research indicated that WebCenter Content customers sought improvements for both content search/retrieval and search index rebuild speeds. Distributed Index supports an unlimited number of documents and query terms. Distributed Index can be implemented quickly and optimizes search for end-users and system administrators.
“The feedback we have received from WebCenter customers regarding Distributed Index has been extremely positive,” said John Klein, Principal, Redstone Content Solutions. “Finding needed information faster allows end users to make business decisions that foster strategic competitive advantage and innovation, regardless of job function. Administrators who had previously abandoned rebuilding their search index can now perform this critical operation more quickly, resulting in system optimization."
”Achieving Oracle Validated Integration gives our customers confidence that the integration between Distributed Index 1.4.2 and Oracle WebCenter Content 184.108.40.206 is functionally sound and performs as tested,” said Kevin O’Brien, senior director, ISV and SaaS Strategy, Oracle. “For solutions deployed on-premise, in the cloud, or both, Oracle Validated Integration applies a rigorous technical review and test process that helps to reduce deployment risk and improves the user experience of the partner’s integrated offering.”
Distributed Index supports an unlimited number of indices for horizontal and vertical scaling. Newly created indices can be created for specific content items or metadata and rebuilt without the need to restart the WebCenter Content Server. Additionally, real-time feedback is provided (Distributed Index estimates remaining index rebuild time).
